YES!!!! LOUISVILLE'S MULTI-FACITED ETIOLOGICALLY-PLURAL HOMELESSNESS I*S* 700+% MORE THAN NATIONALLY
One who visits Louisville downtown for the first time, or visits infrequently as had been the case with myself up to my personal catastrophe on May 12 this year (ejection from home without ID or $1300 at hand that could have gotten me a motel), ONE CANNOT BUT NOTICE THE GREAT DOMINATING VISAGE OF THE-HOMELESS ALL OVER, PARTICULARLY CAMPING BENEATH SUNDRY OVERPASSES IN TOWN.
According to Google's summary from the city housing-for-homeless report of last year, 6986 persons are variously (sheltered and unsheltered) in Louisville as of 2017; that would be a portion/population of 6986/617790= .01130805;
PubMed, in a special report re Covid 19 nationally, estimates that the average nightly demographic for 2017 homeless people in the USA is 500000; as then the population of the USA was 325.1million, the fraction corresponding to that-above would be .001537988, a much lower 'percentage' than here in this town at the Falls of the Ohio River.
